Requirements
Connect the paper flyer or “book order” parents receive from the teacher(s) and the online experience.
Make shopping from the paper flyer easier by adding products to the cart by item number.
Make the teacher's due date for parents to place orders more visible.
Ensure that the merchandise on the home page was targeted specifically to the grade of the students.

Process
Analyzed business requirements, created user personas and defined use cases, and ideation, created prototypes, performed usability testing, identified improvements, finalized the design, built and developed, and provided quality assurance.
We designed an area for the teacher’s message, the due date to place an order, and a widget for parents to enter item numbers from the flyer to add to the cart. As a graphic treatment, we’ve included the month’s flyer so parents can make the connection to what they’ve received from the teacher – the flyer.W
We’ve included a carousel with titles recommended by the teacher, top sellers, and award winners.
Parents were able to quickly shop by adding the item number from the paper flyer in the home page, but also to browse for books by grade, collection, and by digital flyers.
Parents were able to assign books to specific kids (in case of multiple kids) while reviewing the cart prior to checkout. This way, the books were delivered to the specific teacher’s classroom.
